handling 3 million passengers in a 12-month period for the first time in 2002, passenger figures have more than doubled to almost 6.3 million in 2008.
Currently Bristol International Airport is the ninth largest airport in the UK and the 5th largest outside the South East. The last few months at Bristol International have seen a number of exciting new destinations and airlines announced. During 2007 a total of 23 new scheduled routes have been introduced with some fantastic new Eastern European airports being added to the programme. Throughout the year it is now possible to fly direct to 118 destinations across 27 countries..
